Los Nietos School Board of Trustees Accepting Applications to Fill Vacant Board of Trustee Seat; Applications due by September 30, 2016 at 4:00 PM in the Superintendent’s Office of the Los Nietos School District
The Los Nietos School Board will be accepting applications to fill the vacant seat of former Trustee, Marisa B. Hernandez. Trustee Hernandez resigned last week due to her moving out of the attendance boundaries of the Los Nietos School District. Interested community members who would like to be considered to fill the remainder of former Trustee Hernandez’s four-year term (November 2017) are encouraged to fill out the candidate application form and turn it into the office of Superintendent Vasquez located in the Los Nietos School District at 8324 S. Westman Avenue, Whittier, CA 90606. Candidate application forms are due on September 30, 2016 by 4:00 PM.
The Los Nietos School Board of Trustees will review the candidate applications and select 4 candidates to interview on October 4th, at a special school board meeting at 7:15 PM. Board members will interview, deliberate, and select a final provisional candidate in Open Session on October 4th, with the provisional candidate being sworn-in on October 11th at a regularly scheduled Board Meeting.
